1️⃣ Freedom House

Before watching The Pitt, I had no idea that the concept of ambulance services run by trained paramedics was only slightly older than I am, or that the first such service was staffed by Black men and women in Pittsburgh. 99% Invisible has the whole story.
2️⃣ Plato's Symposium
You may have heard that "Texas A&M required one of their philosophy professors to remove two parts of Plato's Symposium from an introduction to philosophy class that he was teaching," but why those sections and what did they really include? I enjoyed this discussion about these texts between retired law professor Katherine Franke and Columbia philosophy professor Christia Mercer.
3️⃣ Attic

When I was a kid, I loved M.C. Escher's work, and so it isn't surprising that I also love Cinta Vidal paintings, which take a cue from Escher, but have an emotional punch that his work never did. "Attic" is taken from her solo show, "Inward," which features her "'un-gravity constructions,' in which space and time appear folded or warped."
